Goldenpaperclip.com is an exercise in non-traditional marketing.
In creating this exercise I have done something that embodies the American spirit of hard work, intuition, and creativity. In other words, I have taken a great Canadian idea and used it for my own. The Godfather of trading, Kyle MacDonald first did this exercise at www.oneredpaperclip.com. When you get a chance buy his book "One Red Paperclip" at Amazon.com- it is hilarious and a great read. When my wife suggested we need a minivan I said no way am I buying one of those things. If you ever went on a date in the 90's in a minivan you would know what I mean. So I am going to try to replicate Mr. MacDonald's experiment and trade up until I get a vehicle that seats five. The problem is you can not compete with a Canadian in stuff like this. Canadians are very, very sneaky. So I got a paperclip and autograph from the most powerful business man in America- Mr. Donald Trump. That paperclip was traded for a canoe. I plan on trading on the 1st and 15th of every month until I have the vehicle.
